Men's Golf Completes Competition At C&F Bank Inter

Final Results

The Fairfield University men's golf team continued its spring season with a 25th place finish at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, played March 25-27 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.  The Stags shot a 54-hole team score of 932, +80, in the event won by the University of Missouri.

Ricky Dowling was the Stags top finisher in the 149 player field, shooting a 228, +15, to tie for 63rd place.  He carded his best round on the opening day, at 74, and shot 78-76 in the second and third rounds.  Nick Taylor shot the Stags best round of the tournament with a par round of 71 in the opening 18.  He finished in a tie for 88th place with a 54-hole score of 231, +18.

Joseph Patalano improved his round score every day, shooting 82-79-76, to finish in a 118th place tie at +24, 237.  Joseph Macaluso also shot a 76 in the final round, the Stags fourth, and finished tied for 124 with a +26 score of 239 at the event.  Patrick Lynch rounded out the Fairfield effort with a +30, 243, improving every round, 82-81-80.

Fairfield returns to action at the Towson Invitational in Gransonville, Md.  The March 30-April 1 event will be played at Prospect Bay Golf Course.
