EDISON, N.J. – Rasmus Ditzinger has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Golfer of the week after setting the pace for Fairfield University Men's Golf at the Savannah Intercollegiate. Ditzinger finished third in a 108-golfer field.
This past weekend in Savannah, Ditzinger turned in a 218 (+2) to place third. Carding a 71, 72, and 75 for his three rounds, he was three strokes off the overall pace set by Longwood's Hunter Swidzinski and Milton Wallin of tournament champion West Georgia.
The Savannah Intercollegiate marked the fourth top-three finish this season for Ditzinger, including a first place showing at the SHU Fall Classic this past September. He was an All-MAAC Second Team honoree last season for the MAAC Champion Stags.
Fairfield Men's Golf returns to the course on March 27-28 in Berlin, Md. for the Battle at Rum Pointe.
