Burke and Ditzinger Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Tadgh Burke and Rasmus Ditzinger have been named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The duo represents Fairfield University Men's Golf on a list of 649 Division I honorees.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, hold a stroke average under 76.0, and own a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Burke – the 2025 MAAC Champion and MAAC Rookie of the Year – was an All-MAAC First Team honoree this spring after earning All-MAAC Second Team laurels as a freshman. In 2026, he finished fourth of 80 golfers at the SHU Men's Fall Classic and ninth in a field of 75 at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate, shooting even par at both events. Burke helped to lead the Stags to a top-five finish in seven of events, including a victory at the Roar-EE Invitational and second-place team showings at the SHU Fall Classic, the Ryan T. Lee Memorial, the Nassau Intercollegiate, and the Battle at Rum Pointe.

The unanimous 2026 MAAC Player of the Year and the individual MAAC Champion, Dtizinger was also a PING All-Northeast Region and All-MAAC First Team selection this spring. Including the 2026 MAAC Championship, he won four tournaments with a total of eight top-three finishes in 11 events.

At the NCAA Athens Regional, Ditzinger set two Fairfield and MAAC records. His final round 67 (-4) was the lowest round to par in conference history, and his aggregate 212 (-1) was the first-ever score under par at a 54-hole regional by a MAAC golfer. He finished the regional tied for 34th in a 74-golfer field.

Fairfield Men's Golf tees off the 2026 fall second on Sept. 19-20 with the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate at Ledgemont Country Club in Sekonk, Mass.
