EDISON, N.J. – After running away with individual medalist honors at the Battle at Rum Pointe, Rasmus Ditzinger has been named the MAAC Golfer of the Week. Ditzinger led Fairfield University Men's Golf to a second-place team finish in the 16-team event.
 
Ditzinger blistered the rest of the 99-golfer field by eight strokes. The sophomore fired a 68 on his first trip through the Rum Pointe Seaside Links and then turned in a bogey-free 67 in Saturday's final round. His 135 (-9) was eight shots ahead of the pace; Ditzinger's outing featured two of the four total rounds in the 60s posted by the entire field at the Battle at Rum Pointe.
 
This weekend's individual victory was his second individual crown and fifth top-3 finish of the 2025-26 season. Ditzinger has won MAAC Golfer of the Week after both of Fairfield's spring tournaments to date and was also the MAAC Golfer of the Month for September of 2025.
 
The Stags return to action on April 13-14 at the Shark Invitational hosted by LIU at Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, N.Y.
