Biography

2014-15: Competed in 10 tournaments, totaling 22 rounds…Opened the season with three rounds in the 70s as the Stags placed third at the Rutgers Invitational…Fired a career-low 69 as a part of the Fairfield’s second-place performance at the ECAC Championship…Carded another 69 in the final round to place eighth individually at the Connecticut Cup…Shot a pair of rounds in the 70s in Fairfield’s NEIGA Championship win…Shot a 78 or lower in five of his seven rounds in the spring.

2013-14: Played in 20 rounds over nine tournaments, averaging 78 strokes per 18 holes. He placed fifth at the ECAC Championships after shooting a 157. At the Connecticut Cup, he placed 29th overall after shooting a 230 over three rounds. Placed eighth overall at the MU Hawk Invitational, shooting a 79. At the MAAC Championship, Lynch placed third overall after carding a 229.

2012-13: Averaged 76 strokes per round as a sophomore, completing 15 rounds in six tournaments during the year. He had his best finishes of the year in the final two events he played, tying for 9th at the Metro Honda Peacock Invitational and 11th at the MAAC Championship. His 54-hole score of 227 at the MAAC Championship equaled a season-best, having carded that total in the first event he played in the fall, the Rutgers Fall Invitational.

2011-12: Saw action in four tournaments, 11 rounds, as a rookie, and averaged 78.6 strokes per round. He shot a season-best 72 in the final round of the MAAC Championships, finishing tied for 20th with a three-day score of 230. That 54-hole effort equaled Lynch's score from the Mount St. Mary's Invitational, where he finished 11th.

High School: Lynch attended Hamden High School where he earned three varsity letters and served as team captain his senior season. He put up a 38.5 scoring average during his senior year, earning medalist accolades on four occasions. Lynch earned All-Area honors his junior and senior campaigns and was named to the All-SCC Academic Team as a sophomore. He finished tied for second at the Division I State Tournament, at +1, tied for 15th at the New England High School Championship and qualified for 2011 Connecticut Amateur.

Personal: Son of Margaret and James Lynch. He has two brothers, James and Seasn. His cousin, Kristin Regan, played women's ice hockey at Boston College. Majoring in accounting. He is a member of the Finance Club, the Investment Club, and the Economics Club.
