FAIRFIELD, Conn. – After two days of competition at the Terrier Invitational the men's side sits in sixth place while the women are in eighth. On the men's side of the action, Army leads over Boston College and Boston University. And for the women, Army leads Boston University and UMass at the top of the standings.
Beginning with the women's action, Fairfield placed 17th in the 200 medley relay after Emily Holman, Colleen Young, Grace Goddard and Oreoluwa Cherebin touched the wall in 1:50.91. In the 400 IM, Emily Vlass was the fastest Stag, touching the wall in  a personal best 4:40.77. Goddard led Fairfield in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.21. Kelly Cordes qualified for the bonus final in the 200 freestyle, finishing 20th with a time of 1:55.18. Young was able to grab the first points for Fairfield in the 100 breaststroke with 13th place finish in the consolation finals, clocking in at 1:07.95. Holman was the first Stag to finish in the 100 backstroke with a 43rd place finish and a time of 1:02.54. And in the final event on Saturday, the team of Cordes, Donna Lam, Goddard, and Cherebin placed 16th in the 800 freestyle relay to grab Fairfield two more points.
The men's side grabbed points in the first event of the day, with a 13th place finish in the 200 medley relay by Nick Delfico, Andrew Tavcar, Jordan Rahurahu, and Phillip Zyskowski. In the 400 IM, Rahurahu earned a spot in the bonus final, placing 17th overall with a time of 4:10.55. In the 100 butterfly, Delfico was the top Stag with a personal best time of 55.46. In the 200 freestyle, it was Zyskowski who was the fastest Stag touching the wall in a personal best time of 1:46.89. Harrison McGovern led the Stags in the 100 breaststroke with a 29th place finish overall and a personal best time of 1:01.16. Griffin Burke was the first Stag to finish the 100 backstroke, clocking in at 55.57. And in the final event of the day, the team of Jameson Duncan, Justin Touve, Rahurahu, and Zyskowski finished 12th in the 800 freestyle relay to earn 10 points for Fairfield.
