LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Both the Fairfield University men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished sixth in their respective competition as the ECAC Championship concluded this evening. The men's team posted 274 points while the women's program garnered 217 points over the three-day event.
The 1650 freestyle opened up Sunday's competition and Riley Edge represented the Stags by completing the event in 2:04.12 which was third in the B final and 11th overall. The men placed two swimmers in the top five of the event led by
Bobby Regan's fourth-place time of 1:48.07 followed by
Will Landon's finish of fifth based on his time of 1:49.24.
Balazs Ament competed in the 100 freesylte and took home 11th place overall by taking third in the B final, clocing in at 45.18. Olivia Glaser grabbed a spot in the A final of the 200 breaststroke and came away with eighth place by touching the wall in 2:23.71.
Jack Behm was the top finisher in the same event on the men's side with his time of 2:06.03 for fifth in the B final while Tommy Yaegel (2:06.04) and
James Robinson (2:06.84) followed in the next two places.
Briana Racanello finished in the top 10 of the 200 butterfly by completing the distance in 2:09.81 which was second in the B final and 10th overall.
Ryan Woodzell represented the Stags in the men's edition of the event, posting a time of 1:55.37 for eighth in the B final.
