Won the 100 SCM butterfly, 200 SCM freestyle and 200 SCM IM and was part of the winning 200 SCM freestyle relay team in the Oct. 28 dual meet win over Monmouth
Won the 100 SCM butterfly, 200 SCM IM and 800 SCM freestyle and was part of the winning 800 SCM freestyle relay team in the Nov. 4 dual meet at Providence
Won the 200 SCM butterfly and 400 SCM freestyle in the Nov. 10 dual meet vs. Fordham
Won the 200y butterfly, 200y IM and 500y freestyle in the Nov. 17 dual meet at Marist
Placed fifth in the 200y and 400 IM events and the 200y butterfly and was part of the 200y, 400y and 800y freestyle relay teams that earned third place at the 2017 ECAC Winter Championships

Placed second in the 400y IM and also scored for the team in the 200y IM and 200y butterfly at the 2018 MAAC Championships
Scored a point for the Stags in the 200y butterfly at the 2018 CSCAA National Invitational Championship

2016-17: Set personal bests at various meets throughout the season. In November at the Terrier Invitational swam the 200 butterfly (1:55.86) and 500 freestyle (4:51.16). In January at Wesleyan, he posted personal bests in the 200 freestyle (1:47.79) and the 100 breaststroke (1:03.80). At the MAAC Championships, set a personal best in the 200 IM (1:55.67) and 400 IM (4:07.86) grabbing seventh place. His 200 IM time ranks second fastest in program history while his 400 IM time sits at third best. 

Before Fairfield: While at St. Thomas of Canterbury earned NCEA Level 1 Merit, NCEA Level 2 Excellence, NCEA Level 3 Excellence, and University Entrance with a Certificate of Mathematics. In the pool, qualified for the Olympic Trials in 2012 and 2016, qualified for Commonwealth Games Trials in 2014, and qualified for World Championships and World Junior Trials in 2015. Represented New Zealand at the 2015 Australian State Teams Championships, and was a member of the 2014 National High Performance Age Group Development, and of the Regional Age Group Development Squad from 2008-2010. Rahurahu was a South Island Swimming NZ Zonal Team Member in 2013 and 2015, and a part of the Canterbury Relay Teams from 2008-2015. Swam at the Queensland State Championships, where he was part of the 2013 Gold Medal winning Men’s Open 4x50m Freestyle Regional Relay Team, a Gold Medalist in the Men’s Open 4x50m Medley Regional Relay Team. In 2011, a Gold Age Group Medalist in the 1500m Free and in 2010, a Silver Age Group Medalist in the 800m Free, a Bronze Age Group Medalist in the 400IM. At the 2016 New Zealand National Open Championships LCM he finished 10th and 16th in the 400IM and 200IM respectively, and was a member of the 4x200m Freestyle and 4x100 Medley Relay which finished 6th and 8th in the A Finals. At the 2015 Opens he finished 7th in the A Final of the Men’s 400IM, and 11th the B Final of the Men’s 200IM. At the New Zealand National Age Group Championships in 2014 SCM, he won Gold in the 400IM, a Silver in the 200IM and 50 Fly, a Bronze in the 200 Free, 100 Fly, and 200 Fly. At the 2014 LCM, he was a Bronze Medalist in the 200 IM, 200 Free, and 100 Fly. At the 2013 SCM, he was a Silver Medalist in the 200m Free, 400 Free, 100 Fly, 400IM, 50 Fly, and 4x50m Freestyle Regional Relay. He was a Bronze Medalist in the 100 Free, 1500m Free, and 4x50m Medley Regional Relay. Rahurahu has broken 12 Canterbury Regional Individual Age Group Records, and has been part of breaking 4 Canterbury Regional Freestyle and Medley Relay Records.

Personal: Son of Brendon and Debbie Rahurahu… Has two siblings, Caleb and Holly… Major is Mechanical Engineering.
