WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Fairfield University men's tennis team completed a weekend of action at the Army Invite, challenging host Army West Point and Stony Brook. The Stags played a total of 22 singles and 10 doubles matches against the Black Knights and Seawolves.

Anthony Caputo, Jeffrey Rodgers and Ofir Solomon all won two singles for the Stags. Additionally, two teams went 2-0 as the duos of Caputo and Solomon and Rodgers and Brad Orban each knocked off a pair of opponents.

Orban also won one of his three singles matches at the event, and the duo of Luke Lemieux and Peter Colliard registered a doubles win.

Match-ups were arranged in a dual match format (three doubles matches and six singles matches), though the results will not be counted on each team's win-loss record. The Stags' next action will be their first true dual match of the fall and first MAAC contest of the season when Rider visits the Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts this Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. Both the Fairfield's men's and women's teams will challenge the visiting Broncs in conference action.
