Final Results
The Fairfield University men's golf team placed fourth at the 2011 ECAC Division I Men's Championship, completed Saturday at Twisted Dune Country Club in Egg Harbor, N.J. The Stags shot a 36-hole score of 608, +32, on the par-72 course.
Scott Rainaud was the Stags top finisher with a +4 148, carding back-to-back rounds of 74. Joseph Macaluso was four strokes back, tied for 17th, with a 78-74. Richard Dowling shot 79-74 for a +9, good for a 20th place tie, while Patrick Lynch shot 78-77, +12, to finish 22nd. Joseph Patalano rounded out the Stags effort with a 79-81, +16, to finish tied for 29th.
Mount St. Mary's shot back-t0-bac rounds of 290, for a +4, 580, to capture the team crown. The Mount's Kevin Ellison won the individual crown with a one-under 143.
The Stags are back in action on October 10-11 at the Connecticut Cup in Ellington, Conn. at Ellington Ridge Golf Course.
