EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Men's Tennis has been slotted second in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released on Wednesday morning by the league office. The Stags won the MAAC Regular Season Championship in 2024 and reached the MAAC Championship Final.
Fairfield and Quinnipiac each garnered four first-place votes on the preseason ledger, with Bobcats gaining a 76-70 edge in total points to take the top spot. The remaining first-place tally went to last-place Mount St. Mary's.
The Stags went 6-0 in the MAAC last spring to earn the regular season crown but were clipped in the conference championship match by Quinnipiac to finish the campaign at 14-9. The Stags' returners from last season include five that have been named All-MAAC during their careers:

Luca Benaibbouche,
Sam Hodges,
Kostas Kollias and
Will O'Brien.
The spring schedule for Fairfield Men's Tennis opens next Sunday, Jan. 26 at Brown. The MAAC slate is sprint of eight matches in 29 days, which begins on campus on the Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts on March 22 against conference newcomer Merrimack.
