LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.-Fairfield junior Colin Summers fired an impressive six-under par 66 on day two of the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship taking place at Disney's Palm Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista Florida to move into a first place tie atop the leaderboard with a 36-hole total of 138 (-6) along with Siena's Mike McConie, and as a team, the Stags are in in second place, shooting four under par with a total of 572 over two days just two strokes behind the first place Siena College Saints heading into Sunday's final round.
The Stags team score of 284 on Saturday was the lowest score by any squad on the day.
Freshman Anthony Naples heads into Sunday's final round tied for ninth place in the championship with a 36-hole score of 143.
Graduate students Patrick McCarthy with a 145 over two days and Shane DeVincenzo with a total of 146 sit in twelfth place and a tie for thirteenth respectively after two rounds of action.
Freshman Peter Crowe rounds out the Stags' group of players with a two-day total of 155.
Final round play in the 2024 MAAC Men's Golf Championship on Disney's Palm Course will begin on Sunday morning with the team and individual champions earning an automatic bid the this season's NCAA Championship Tournament.
