Ditzinger Cards 72 in Round Two of NCAA Athens Regional

The MAAC Champion improved by one stroke on his second trip through the UGA Golf Course

ATHENS, Ga. – Rasmus Ditzinger turned in a 72 in the Second Round of the NCAA Athens Regional on Tuesday. Ditzinger remained in a tie for 47th place after his second trip through the University of Georgia Golf Course.
 
Ditzinger's 72 (+1) marked a one-stroke improvement from his opening round 73 on Monday. His 145 is six shots outside the top-20 in the 74-golfer field. Will Hartman of Vanderbilt is the individual pacesetter, firing a 63 (-8) on Tuesday to take the individual lead with 130.
 
Hartmann also pushed the #13 Commodores into the team lead with a 546 – three strokes ahead of #36 Louisville.
 
Rasmus Ditzinger earned his place in the NCAA postseason field as the Mcleod Trophy winner after winning the individual MAAC Championship last month. Ditzinger has won four tournaments this season with a total of eight top-three finishes in 10 events, including all five of his spring outings. He was previously named the unanimous MAAC Player of the Year and Fairfield Athletics Men's co-Athlete of the Year in addition to an All-MAAC First Team selection.
 
Ditzinger tees off the final round of the NCAA Athens Regional on Wednesday at 10:01 a.m.
