EDISON, N.J. – After winning in both singles and doubles action in Sunday's sweep of Merrimack by Fairfield University Men's Tennis, Sam Hodges has been named the MAAC Player of the Week. Hodges earns the distinction for the second time this season.
 
In the 4-0 victory over the Warriors, Hodges teamed with Thomas Smart in the top flight of doubles. The duo cruised to a 6-1 win over Merrimack's top pair of Charles Robertson and Jacob Dubas. In singles action, Hodges dispatched Henrick Lindeman in straight sets – 6-1, 6-1 – in the #2 position.
 
Fairfield Men's Tennis is back in action this Sunday, March 17 for a noon match at Lafayette. Action comes to the campus on the following Wednesday, March 20 with a 3 p.m. visit from Sacred Heart.
