EDISON, N.J. – After turning in a pair of top-10 finishes to open the fall of Fairfield University Men's Golf, Colin Summers has been selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Month. Summers most recently placed fourth at the UConn Invitational earlier this week.
 
A U.S. Amateur Championship qualifier in the summer of 2024, Summers began the fall with a 10-place finish in a 90-golfer field at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate. He carded an even par 71 in both rounds at Shuttle Meadow Country Club.
 
Earlier this week at the UConn Invitational, Summers rode an opening-round 69 to finish -2 over 54 holes and place fourth in a field of 57.
 
In five rounds for the month, Summers shot 71 or better four times. He carded an average round of 71.2 and a mark of 0.4 strokes under par.
 
Fairfield Men's Golf returns to action on Oct. 19-20 for 36 holes at the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
