GUILFORD, Conn. - Nabbing the doubles point to open the afternoon, Fairfield University women's tennis battled end-to-end in a 5-2 decision to Quinnipiac at the Guilford Tennis Club to close the 2022-23 regular season.

Despite the loss, Fairfield earned a topflight doubles with from Francesca Karman and Lize-Alet Morkel in dominating fashion 6-1 and were followed by a 7-5 win from Sarah Liu and Katarina Plumtree to secure the point for the round. In singles action Plumtree captured a straight-set victory in the No. 3 flight 7-5, 6-1 to sweep the day for herself.

The Stags conclude the regular season campaign at 9-8 and 5-1 in conference play, clinching the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament, which will be held Apr. 22-23 from West Windsor, N.J.
