TRUMBULL, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Tennis celebrated Senior Day with a 4-1 win over Niagara at the Tennis Club of Trumbull. The Stags earned wins in four singles flights to secure the team victory.
With the win, the Stags improve to 7-12 on the season with a 5-3 MAAC record. Niagara falls to 8-8 overall and 4-4 in the MAAC. Fairfield will finish the regular season still in postseason contention and awaits the official tiebreaker ruling from the MAAC following Monday's match featuring Mount St. Mary's and Rider. The conference's top four teams will qualify for next weekend's MAAC Tournament.

After Niagara got on the board first with a win at #1 singles, the Stags ran off the next four points to claim the 4-1 win.
Anna Neyestani leveled the tally with a win at #2, and
Maeve Cassidy followed suit in commanding fashion at #6.
Maria Gell brought the Stags to the brink of victory after closing out her match at #5, and
Sophia Harris provided the clinching point with a win at #6.
Nicolette Loeffler led her match at #4 in the third set when action was halted.
