EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Women's Tennis earned a total of four All-MAAC honors for the 2026 season, as announced by the conference office on Thursday morning. Three Stags were recognized on the singles courts, with one doubles team collecting an all-conference nod.
Anna Neyestani went 5-3 in MAAC play en route to All-MAAC Second Team honors. She was 2-1 at the top flight and 3-2 in the #2 spot. Neyestani was also All-MAAC in singles and doubles last season and also won the MAAC Masters Championship in the fall of 2024.
Sophia Harris was also tabbed to the All-MAAC Second Team in Singles. The freshman went 5-3 in MAAC singles action, splitting time between the #2, #3, and #4 flights.
Rounding out the Singles selections was
Maria Gell, who garnered a spot on the All-MAAC Third Team. Gell went 6-2 against conference foes in singles play, also competing in three different spots in the line (#3, #5, #6).
On the doubles courts, Gell and Neyestani collected a First Team distinction. The duo filled out the top flight for the Stags during MAAC play and finished with a 5-2 record.
In addition, eight Fairfield student-athletes were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team:
Maeve Cassidy, Gell,
Meg Harding,
Sarah Liu,
Nicolette Loeffler,
Lily Malinowski,
Victoria Mandma, and Neyestani.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Fairfield Women's Tennis begins the MAAC postseason in the semifinal round on Friday, May 1. The Stags meet top-seeded Quinnipiac at 10 a.m. on Friday on the Princeton University campus in Princeton, N.J.
