Fairfield Advances to MAAC Championship Match

Quinnipiac withdraws due to Covid protocols

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Quinnipiac Men's Tennis has withdrawn from this weekend's MAAC Championship due to Covid protocols within their program. Saturday's semifinal match has been declared a "no contest" and Fairfield University Men's Tennis will advance to Sunday's MAAC Championship Match.

"First and foremost, our thoughts are with any of those affected within the Quinnipiac program, and we wish them good health and speedy recovery," said Head Coach Jeff Bricker. "While this is obviously not the way we wanted to advance, we are focused on the opportunity in front of us and we look foward to competing for a MAAC Championship on Sunday".

The second-seeded Stags will await the winner of Saturday's semifinal match between top-seeded Monmouth and fourth-seeded Marist. The 2021 MAAC Championship Match is slated for Sunday, April 25 at 10 a.m.
