FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer program has announced their long-awaited 2021 season, which will be held in the spring starting March 9. The Stags will play in six conference matches with the MAAC Tournament scheduled to begin on April 9.
"I think after a very challenging 2020 we are all just grateful to have an opportunity to compete," Head Coach
David Barrett said. "We will take every day we get to play soccer in stride and do our very best to prepare and compete at the highest level we can."
Their one month long campaign will feature three home and three road contests with the first home match scheduled for March 9 when the Stags open their season against Rider. Fairfield will also face Manhattan (March 27) and Niagara (March 29) on Lessing Field.
Fairfield will travel to defending MAAC Champions Monmouth on March 16 in a rematch of the 2019 MAAC Championship Match. The Stags will also have road matches at Canisius (April 3) and Quinnipiac (April 6).
The MAAC Tournament is scheduled to begin on April 9 with each of the three rounds to be hosted by the higher seed.
