NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Golf played 54 holes at the Course at Yale this weekend in New Haven, competing for the Macdonald Cup.
James Tyer led the Stags to ninth place at the tournament, finishing tied for 25th in a field of 78 golfers.

Jacob Zaranek was also in the top half of the field for the Stags, sharing 37th place. The low round of the weekend for Fairfield went to
Patrick McCarthy, who began his tournament with an even-par 70.
Patrick Ryan,
Shane DeVincenzo and
Killian McGinley also hit the links this weekend for the Stags.

Fairfield's ninth place finish slotted them ahead of La Salle, Fordham and Brown on the team leaderboard. Minnesota ran away with the team title by 24 strokes, paced by individual medalist Angus Flanagan's 204 (-6).

The Stags continue their fall slate on Oct. 19-20 at the Towson Fall Invitational in Grasonville, Md.
