FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Cross Country returns to action this Saturday at Holmdel Park for the 25th Annual Henry Mercer Invitational. The Stags will hit the 3K course at the site of next month's MAAC Championship at approximately 10:15 a.m.

Fairfield opened the 2019 campaign on Sept. 7 at the Nassaney Invitational.
Courtney Kitchen set the pace for the Stags, finishing 12th of 125. Kitchen completed the 5K course is 18:55 to post a 12th-place finish.
Molly Silvestri clocked in at 19:42.1 in 46th place, closely followed by
Casey Ems (49th),
Anna Weissenberg (51st),
Genevieve Connelly (52nd) and
Jane Frawley (53rd). The Stags' top six finishers all crossed the line among the top half of the field.

The Stags last ran at Holmdel Park for the 2017 MAAC Championship. Among current Stags, then-sophomore
Kelsi Farren was the top finisher with a time of 25:20.88 in the 6K meet.

After this weekend, Fairfield will head to the Hellertown section of Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Run on Saturday, Oct. 5.
