NEW ORLEANS – Hannah Snayd was named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic to headline the honors collected by Fairfield University Men's and Women's Cross Country from the national organization this week. In addition to Snayd's individual plaudits, both the men's and women's programs were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams for their efforts in the classroom.
Snayd – the two-time defending individual champion of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference – received individual All-Academic distinction from the USTFCCCA. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top 25 at the NCAA Regional Championships. Snayd completed the fall with a 13th-place finish out of 251 harriers at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship as Fairfield's first-ever NCAA All-Region runner.
In the classroom, Snayd is a Dean's List student as a Biology major.
Both the men's and women's cross country programs earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team laurels, which are awarded to all teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. The Stags cleared that bar with room to spare, sparked by a 3.68 GPA for the men and a 3.64 GPA for the women in the Fall of 2025 semester. A total of 19 Stags between the two teams were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team this season.
