LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Fairfield University Men's Golf teed off action at the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship on Thursday morning at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista. The Stags sit in seventh after 18 holes of action, while
Kellen Jordan,
James Tyer and
Kevin Duncan all rank among the individual top 20.

In seventh place on a crowded leaderboard, the Stags are two strokes behind sixth-place Monmouth with 18 holes down and 36 left to play. Fairfield carded a 308 (+20) on its first trip through Disney's Magnolia Golf Course – a par-72, 6891-yard course.

Jordan carded a 76 (+4), with Tyer and Duncan each posting a 77 (+5) to slot among the top 20 of the 45-man field.
Thomas Urciuoli and
Finn McGinnis each posted a 78 (+6) to round out the quintet of Stags to hit the links today.

Led by a 68 (-4) from individual pacesetter Oisin Deveruex, Iona is the Round 1 leader with a 289 (+1) to hold a three-shot lead over second-place Saint Peter's (+4).

The second round of the 2019 MAAC Championship tees off tomorrow morning with final round play set for Saturday.
