FAIRFIELD, Conn. – After four years playing the game they love in front of their home fans at Alumni Hall, the Fairfield University Women's Basketball Class of 2019 will walk on to their home court for the final time.
Kendra Landy,
Casey Foley, and
Khadidiatou Diouf will be honored in a pregame ceremony remembering their playing careers and their impact on the women's basketball program and the Fairfield community.
Through their four years, the trio have exemplified the blue collar and passionate work ethic of the Fairfield Women's Basketball program. The three have combined for 1,555 points, 925 rebounds, and 601 assists.
Foley is one of 16 players in program history with 300 assists and only one of three to combine 300 helpers with 250 steals and 100 3-pointers. Her 126 career 3-pointers ties her for 10th on the career list with Cara Murphy '07. She is 17 long range shots away from
Sabra Wrice '08. Foley has also recorded 174 career steals which places her tied for 10th all-time with Marybeth Carthier '04. Next up on the list is Dana Pellegrino '88 who swiped 178 in her career.
Diouf became just the second Stag in program history to have multiple 20 rebounding games after grabbing 20 against Iona. She now owns two of the eight 20 rebounding games in program history.
She joins Katrina Fields as the only other Stag to have multiple 20 rebounding games. Fields owns three such games (2/6/82 vs Iona, 1/11/83 at Army, and 2/23/82 vs Wagner). Diouf also collected 21 against Saint Peter's on Jan. 15.
Landy has been one of the consistent presences in the Fairfield lineup when she is on the court, recording 225 assists during her career. Landy has become an even more vocal leader this season after an ACL injury cut her season short before conference play started. She has also netted 99 field goals and contributed 275 points in her career.
