Biography

2019: MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC All-Tournament Team…One of the team’s tri-captains, filled the experience roll for the Stags in her fifth season…Tallied 67 assists playing in 29 games and getting the start on Senior Day…Dished out a season-high six assists on just one turnover at St. John’s (12/20)…Also tallied five helpers against Marist (1/30) and at Saint Peter’s (2/18)…Pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds at Iona (1/18).

2018-19: MAAC All-Academic Team…Appeared in just seven games before an ACL injury forced her to miss most of the 2018-19 campaign…As averaging 4.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists…Had five steals against Xavier (11/17)…Swatted four blocks with two coming against UMass (11/25)…Had a season-high six assists in one of her two starts against Bucknell (11/24).

2017-18: MAAC All-Academic Team…Started the first 19 games of the season as the Stags point guard and appeared in all 30 games…Had her best outing at Boston College as she recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and a personal-best 10 assists, helping the Stags to their first win in Chestnut Hill since 2000 (12/3)…Hit all five of her shots against New Hampshire (11/26)…Finished ninth in the MAAC with 3.0 assists per game and sixth with a 1.38 assist-to-turnover ratio.

2016-17: MAAC All-Academic Team…Became one of the Stags’ most improved shooters by finishing with a .465 field goal percentage, including a .549 clip (39-for-71) in her last 19 games…Set a season-high with four rebounds in six difference games, and four of the final five…Racked up a career-high 15 points while going 8-for-10 from the line against Canisius (2/23) with the final six coming in the fourth quarter…Earned a spot in the starting lineup for the final five games and averaged 8.4 points in those contest…Dished out a career-high eight assists at Monmouth (1/4).

2015-16: Saw limited time in her first season as the Stags backup point guard but showed her toughness on both sides of the floor…Her first impactful contest came in the home loss to Marist where she tallied five points, two steals, and an assist (12/6)…Gave the Stags 14 valuable minutes in the first half against Siena when she dished out three assists and scored two points while Lizzy Ball was on the bench in foul trouble…Built on that performance by setting another career-high with four assists against Saint Peter’s (2/12)…Checked into the crosstown rivalry game against Sacred Heart for one minute and converted two critical free throws…Totaled 14 points and 18 assists in her first season while averaging 5.5 minutes per game.

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: Landy comes to Fairfield after serving as the point guard for Mercy High School. Known for her “great vision” and being an “excellent on the ball defender,” Landy was a two-time All-Southern Connecticut Conference selection, a New Haven Tap-Off Club honoree, an SCC Scholar Athlete of the Month, and a two-time Regional All-Star... She led her team to the 2014 SCC girls’ basketball championship, chipping in nine points and five assists in the blowout championship win over Career. The site of that 2014 championship game was the TD Bank Sports Center, the current home of MAAC foe – Quinnipiac. She also led Mercy with a team-high 19 points in last year’s semifinal loss to Wilton... Landy also played soccer for the Tigers, being named to the All-State team for Class LL three times, and a 2014 All New England pick... On the soccer pitch, she helped the Tigers to two SCC Quinnipiac Division titles...She also chipped in 18 career goals and 15 assists during her stay at Mercy.

PERSONAL: Landy was born on September 14, 1997...Parents are Teresa and Ken...Her mother Teresa played basketball and rugby at Holy Cross and was inducted into the Middletown Sports Hall of Fame in 2012...Her father Ken played tennis at Regis University...Her sister Sheena played soccer and basketball at Trinity College...Her brother Tucker played basketball at Dickinson...During her senior year of high school, Landy was Student Council Vice President and a peer minister...Landy was also a four-year member of the Latin Club and Students Against Destructive Decisions...During her final two years, Landy was in the National Honor Society and the Latin Honor Society...Took part in Sigma Xi Chemistry research with Professor Miecznikowski at Fairfield...Major is accounting and pre-med.
