NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Cross Country ran its final tune-up for the 2019 MAAC Championship on Friday at the CCSU Mini-Meet in New Britain. Pacifico Flores paced the Stags at Stanley Quarter Park, completing the 5K course in 15:53.6.
 
Flores was followed across the finish line by James Vizzard, Chris Fischer, Devin Flores and Ryan Brennan as the Stags' quintet of scoring harriers. Roberto Piotto of the host Blue Devils was the individual leader with a time of 14:51.2.
 
As a team, Fairfield finished 11th to beat St. Francis Brooklyn and Fairleigh Dickinson. Providence was the team champion at the event with three of the top five finishers leading the wy.
 
The 2019 MAAC Championship is set for next Saturday, Nov. 2 at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, N.J.
