MONTGOMERY, N.Y. – Fairfield University Men's Cross Country finished seventh of 13 teams at the 2025 MAAC Championship, held on Saturday afternoon at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, N.Y. for the third straight season.
Ryan Lindley paced the Stags in 33rd place in a field of 178 runners.
Fairfield defeated six teams on the team ledger, including in-state MAAC foes Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart. Iona won the championship for the 35th consecutive season, accounting for the first 10 harriers to cross the finish line. Siena and Marist completed the top three on the leaderboard.
Lindley completed the 8K course in 25:24.8 to finish 33rd.
Harrison Caprara (25:34.8) wrapped up in 40th in his MAAC Championship debut,
Chase Orciuch (25:52.2) finished in 48th, and
George Hohenleitner (25:56.3) and
Kyle Haskell (25:58.3) paced each other in 54th and 55th, respectively, to round of Fairfield's five scorers.

"I can't say enough how proud I am of this team," said Head Coach
Jake Jayworth. Everyone was 100% committed to the plan and it showed in how we executed the race at every stage. We have had so much fun all year showing up for each other and chasing big goals, and our race today wasn't any different."
"We have another big race in two weeks at the regional meet," Jayworth continued, "and if we keep that same energy then there's a lot of success that we can have there."
Fairfield Men's Cross Country returns to action on Friday, Nov. 14 for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
