SOUTH KENT, Conn. – Fairfield University freshman
James Tyer finished at -3 (67 round 1, 74 round 2) to finish tied for twelfth on the leaderboard at the Hartford Invitational. Tyer had an opening round of 67, which had him tied for fifth place heading into the final round today. The Stags finished thirteen in the eighteen-team field. Fairfield had a combined score of 598 (298 round 1, 300 round 2).
Senior
Thomas Urciuoli finished at +7 for the tournament with a first round 72 followed by a 79 in the final round. Sophomore
Finn McGinnis turned in a round one score of 79 and a final round of 74 to finish at +9. Senior
Kevin Duncan shot an 82 in round one and improved in round two with a score of 73.
Kellen Jordan shot 80 during both rounds for the Stags
Fairfield moves on to the McDonald Cup hosted by Yale University on September 29 and 30.
