NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Nick Rispoli led Fairfield University Men's Cross Country on Friday afternoon at the CCSU Mini-Meet n New Britain. The Stags placed 12th at Stanley Quarter Park in their final tune-up for next Saturday's MAAC Championship Meet.

Rispoli crossed the line in the 5K race at Stanley Quarter Park with a time of 16:34.3 with
Mike Dziuba close behind at 16:46.3. Rounding out the Stags' five competitors were
Timothy Salit (16:51.2),
Chris Fischer (17:15.6) and
Stephen Jastrzembski (17:56.6).

Providence won the meet, placing five of the top 12 individual finishers. American International College's All-America harrier Leakey Kipkosgei set the pace ahead of three Friars with a time of 14:37.2.

Fairfield returns to action next Saturday, Oct. 27 for the 2018 MAAC Championship Meet. The men's race at The Crossings of Colonie in Loudonville, N.Y. is slated for a noon start.
