NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Fairfield University men's golf team played 36 holes at the Course at Yale on Saturday, preparing for the upcoming MAAC Championship. Kevin Duncan placed 12th with a two-round score of 150 (72-78) to pace the Stags.
Fairfield placed 11th on the team leaderboard with 627. The Stags were just 10 strokes out of seventh place in a tightly-bunched field in the middle of the pack. The team title went to Yale's 'B' team with a 594.
Also factoring into the scoring for the Stags were Kellen Jordan (156), Eric Austin (160) and Thomas Urciuoli (161). Dartmouth's John Lazor took home individual medalist honors with a 143 (73-70).
The Stags will play 18 holes on Tuesday at the Peacock Invitational before heading to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course for the 2016 MAAC Championship on April 22-24.
