FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University swimming and diving teams hosted Marist College on Saturday afternoon at the RecPlex Pool. The women's team fell by a score of 168-126 while the men lost 182-99.

The women's team had a strong showing in both relays, taking the top spot in each event. In the 200m Medley Relay it was Kristin Kunnapas, Colleen Young, Meghan Guinee, and Oreoluwa Cherebin that took home the top spot. And in the 200m Freestyle Relay Kelly Cordes, Young, Cherebin, and Donna Lam touched the wall in first place. Young also had two individual top place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (17:17.38) and in the 200 breaststroke (2:47.49). Kunnapas had a trio of good finishes on the day. In the 100 backstroke she placed third (1:11.03), in the 50 freestyle she placed second (28.61), and in the 200 backstroke placed third posting a personal best time of 2:32.88.

The men's side was headlined by two first place finishes by freshman Jordan Rahurahu. He earned the top spot in the 200 butterfly with a personal best 2:10.95 and first place in the 400 IM (4:48.68). The freshman also had a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.74). Jameson Duncan had a solid outing in the pool once again. In the 800 freestyle he swam a personal best time of 8:55.10 and then placed second in the 400 freestyle (4:20.56).

In diving action, Kylie More was the top Fairfield finisher in the 1-meter with a third place finish after scoring 203.48. Jane Rice placed second in the 3-meter event with a score of 218.33. Alex Shabecoff earned a pair of third place finishes, he scored 152.33 in the 1-meter and 182.10 in the 3-meter.

Next up for the Stags is the Terrier Invitational which is set to begin on November 18.
