FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University men's and women's cross country teams will open the championship portion of their 2015 schedule on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championship. Both the women's 5K and men's 8K races will be held at Boston's Franklin Park.
Action begins at 11 a.m. and will consist of four races – a varsity and sub-varsity race for both the men's and women's harriers.
Among current Stags, Stef Vickers and Jacqueline-Ann Willsey paced Fairfield at the 2014 women's race with times of 19:29.32 and 10:30.21, respectively, in the 5K varsity race. Sami Carey added a mark of 19:48.91 at Franklin Park.
In the men's 8K race last fall, Sam Daly had a team-best time of 25:37.13. Dan DeBlock (25:51.15) and Nolan Parsley (26:02.69) were both within 25 seconds of Daly, and Mike Flanagan wasn't far behind with a mark of 26:15.20.

Following this weekend in Boston, the Stags return to action the CCSU Mini-Meet on Friday, Oct. 23 at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain.
Fairfield's championship season resumes on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship in Pennington, N.J. at Rosedale Park.
