HANOVER, N.H. – It was a rainy and windy day at Hanover Country Club as the Fairfield University women's golf team got underway at the Dartmouth Invitational. After the first round, the Stags are tied for ninth overall with a team score of 321.
Individually, junior Michelle Applegate is tied for eighth after shooting a 76 (+4). Senior Katie Rockwell is one stroke behind Applegate, turning in a 77 and tying for 13th overall.
Junior Olivia Brooks and senior Emma Ritzmann each shot an 84 (+12). Sophomore Danielle Dalessandro shot a 90 (+18) during her first round.
Boston University leads after 18 holes with a team score of 291 (+3). Boston College is in second and shot one stroke better than Dartmouth at 308 (+20). Brown is fourth (+23, 311), Siena is fifth (+27, 315) and Wagner is sixth (+28, 316). Individually, Boston University's Emilly Tillo leads the way with a 70 (-2).
The Dartmouth Invitational concludes tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8am.
