Cross Country Closes Out Season at IC4A Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – The Fairfield University men's cross country team closed out the 2013 campaign this afternoon at the ECAC/IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. The men's team placed eighth overall out of 20 teams in the University Division race.

Senior Brian Cleary ran a five-mile time of 26:32.6 to place 20th overall in his final race as a Stag. Senior Howie Rosas placed 37th overall with a time of 26:47.8 in his final race. Both times were among the fastest ever by a Stags at Van Cortlandt Park.
 
Junior Jake Ruskan ran a 26:52.6 while classmate Connor Kelley posted a time of 26:57.7. Freshman Sam Daly posted a time of 27:00.0 while senior John Lobo had a time of 27:04.3 in his final race as a Stag.
 
Sophomore Dan DeBlock clocked a time of 27:10.3 while junior Steve Piscatelli ran a personal best of 27:24.5. Freshman Nolan Parsley finished in 27:26.7 while classmate Mike Flanagan posted a time of 27:31.8. Sophomore Frank Segreto had a time of 29:53.4.
 
Fordham won the IC4A University Division title with its own Jonathan Annelli posting a winning time of 25:33.5.
