Final Results

The Fairfield University men's golf team shot its best round, 304, in the final round of the Rutgers Men's Golf Invitational on Saturday, finishing in 12^th place with a 54-hole score of 932.  The two-day event was played at the Rutgers Golf Course and was won by USC-Upstate and its final score of 854.

The Stags had four players shoot their best score of the tournament on Saturday, led by a 73 from Scott Rainaud.  He was the Stags top finisher, carding a 223 to finish in a 17^th place tie.  Joseph Macaluso carded an 80 in the final round to finish in 55^th place with a 235. Nick Taylor carded a 76 on Saturday to move into 57^th place with a 236.

A pair of rookies rounded out the Stags effort at the event, both carding the best round of their fledgling collegiate careers.  Joseph Patalano shot a 75, to finish in 63^rd place at 240, while Peter Repetto shot an 82, for a 71^st place tie at 245.
