Final Results
SOUTH KENT, Conn. - The Fairfield men's golf team took 10th place today at the Hartford Invitational. The Stags shot a team total of 625, 309-316 on the two day, 72-par, event at Bulls Bridge Golf Course. As a team the Stags finished just three strokes behind ninth place Temple University. St. John's came from behind to top the leader board finishing with a team total of 585.
Senior
Sean Deale (Newton, Mass.) continued his solid play from yesterday as he finished with a round two score of 78 today to lead the Stags with a 152 on 36 holes. His +8 performance earned him tied for 21st overall.
Joe Macaluso (Clifton Park, N.Y.) finished four strokes behind Deale with a 156 total between yesterday and today as he finished round two with a 79. Sophomore
Scott Rainaud (South Hadley, Mass.) finished the two day event with a 160 shooting a 79 and 81. One stroke behind Rainaud was sophomore
Nick Taylor (Southbury, Conn.) who shot an 82 this morning to end the invitational with a 161.
Despite the weather conditions, sophomore
Brendan O'Brien (Colts Neck, N.J.) also shot a 78 this morning, nine strokes better than his round one score of 87 yesterday. O'Briend finished the two day event with a 165.
The Fairfield men's golf team will return to action October 1-2 when they travel to Egg Harbor N.J. to compete at the ECAC Championship held on Twisted Dunes Golf Course.
