Box Score AMHERST, Mass.-The Fairfield University Women's Tennis team wrapped a New England road trip on Sunday with a 7-0 loss against the University of Massachusetts. The Stags are now 0-5 on the young Spring season; while UMass ups its overall mark to 4-1.
The Minutewomen took Sunday's doubles' point with victories at number three and two, and the number one doubles' match that featured the Stags' Sarah Liu and Victoria Mandma was stopped tied at 4-4.
In singles' action, Mandma at number two and Lily Malinowski at number six fell in a pair of hard-fought super breakers, as Victoria was defeated 0-6, 7-6, 0-1 (8-10) and Lily dropped her match, 6-3, 1-6, 0-1 (8-10)
Up next, the Fairfield women return to their indoor Connecticut home next Saturday, February 8 at 6:00 p.m. when the Stags host Stony Brook at the Tennis Club of Trumbull.
