Box Score WEST POINT, N.Y. – Fairfield University Women's Tennis competed at the three-day West Point Invite this past weekend on base at the United States Military Academy. The Stags racked up eight singles and four doubles wins throughout the weekend.
In the singles action,
Alexie Normandin picked up two victories.
Maeve Cassidy,
Maria Gell,
Sophia Harris, and
Regina Herrera each added one.
Herrera was unbeaten for the weekend, winning her lone singles match and teaming with Cassidy for a doubles victory. Gell was a part of two doubles wins for the Stags, one alongside
Yana Razina and one teamed with
Victoria Mandma. Normandin and
Dylin Pizzutello were also triumphant in their only match as a tandem this weekend.
Fairfield Women's Tennis returns to action this weekend for the Metro Conference Masters Tournament on Oct. 2-4. The tournament will be held at Quinnipiac with the winning singles player and doubles team advancing to the ITA Conference Masters Championship beginning Nov. 5 in Rome, Ga.
