EDISON, N.J. – With a total of six wins in the month of September for Fairfield University Women's Tennis,
Maeve Cassidy has been named the MAAC Women's co-Player of the Month. Cassidy earned third singles wins and three doubles victories for the Stags last month.
Cassidy went 3-2 in singles play. She opened her junior season with a straight-set win over Sarah Yan of Army. Last weekend at West Point, Cassidy added victories over Olivia Furrows from Sacred Heart and FDU's Katsiaryna Kostsina.
On the doubles courts, Cassidy teamed with
Regina Herrera for a 6-3 win over a team from Saint Francis. She also paired with
Meg Harding for two victories, downing a duo from Army West Point as well as a tandem representing Sacred Heart.
Cassidy has collected three All-MAAC nods in her career to date. In 2024, she was All-MAAC First Team in singles and a Second Team honoree in doubles. Last spring, Cassidy added All-MAAC Second Team singles laurels.
