FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team has announced the addition of
Kayla Hamric as the program's graduate assistant coach. Hamric brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the squad after playing professionally for the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and most recently for Shelbourne FC in the Ireland Premiere Division. She spent her collegiate playing days with George Mason, appearing in 66 career matches for the Patriots.

David Barrett said. "She brings a ton of playing experience from the college and professional level that will translate well with our team. She is energetic and a very good teacher of the technical pieces of the game."

Hamric most recently played professionally for Shelbourne FC out of the Ireland Premiere Division where she appeared in 11 matches. She netted a pair of goals in her league debut against Cork City.
Hamric was signed by the Houston Dash after her collegiate playing days at George Mason where she appeared in 66 matches with 40 starts for the Patriots. The midfielder netted 10 goals while dishing out six assists, tying for the team lead in goals in each of her final two seasons.
Hamric will be joining a Fairfield team who posted double-digit wins for the second-straight season and finished with a 7-2-1 record in the MAAC, placing second in the conference. Fairfield returns all seven of their All-MAAC student-athletes from the 2023 campaign.
