OCEAN VIEW, N.J. – Fairfield University Men's Golf won two head-to-head matchups on Saturday to advance to the finals of the AC Match Play event at Shore Gate Golf Club in Ocean View, N.J. The Stags defeated Fordham in the quarterfinals and top-seeded Siena in the semifinals, both by a final tally of 4-2.
 
Against the Rams, the Stags used wins from Anthony Naples, Shane DeVincenzo, Patrick McCarthy and Colin Summers to advance in the bracket. The same quartet was victorious in the semifinals to power Fairfield past the Saints.
 
On the other side of the bracket, the semifinal matchup between Iona and The Mount was halted due to darkness. That pairing will hit the course on Sunday morning with the winner challenging the Stags in the finals later in the day.
