EDISON, N.J. – After finishing tied for 20th place at the Shark Invitational this week, Gustaf Fehn has been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week. Fehn carded a 217 (+7) to crack the top quarter of the 87-golfer field.
 
Fehn's best round of the 54-hole tournament was his second, carding a 69 (-1) to stay in the hunt and keep the Stags near the top half of the leaderboard. He was seventh among MAAC golfers on the leaderboard, including two of his teammates in Rasmus Ditzinger (3rd) and Tadgh Burke (T-11th).
 
The freshman from Stockholm helped the Stags to fifth place out of 15 teams. Fairfield defeated a total of 10 teams in the field, including MAAC foes Manhattan, Sacred Heart, and Siena.
 
Fairfield will play one more tournament ahead of the MAAC Championship when the Stags head to Kingston, N.Y. for the Roar-EE Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
