GLEN COVE, N.Y. – Fairfield University Men's Golf sits sixth of 15 teams after 36 holes at the Shark Invitational at Nassau Country Club on Long Island.
Rasmus Ditzinger paced the Stags in two rounds of action on Monday, currently two strokes off the individual lead.
Fairfield turned in a 577 on Monday, posting a 291 and then improving by five shots with a 286 on its second trip through the course. The Stags are three shots back of fifth-place Monmouth and 10 strokes off the overall pace set by Bryant with s 567 after two rounds.
Ditzinger fired rounds of 69 and 68 to land in second place, two strokes behind Arjun Sing Bhatia of host LIU heading into Tuesday's final round.
Gustaf Fehn is tied for seventh with a 141, and
Tadgh Burke is also in the top half of the 87-golfer field with a share of 26th place with a 146.
Rounded out the six Stags to take the course this week,
Peter Crowe posted a 149,
Joey Vandergeest added a 153, and
Anthony Naples carded a 155.
Final round action from Nassau Country Club tees off on Tuesday at 8 a.m.
