EDISON, N.J. – Lily Malinowski has been named the MAAC Player of the Week for the first time in her career. The freshman won in singles and doubles for Fairfield University Women's Tennis in last week's 4-3 thriller at UNCG in Greensboro.
 
Playing at #2 doubles, Malinowski and partner Francesca Karman helped the Stags secure the pivotal point with a 6-4 victory. She was back on the court at #5 singles, earning a key victory – 7-6 (4), 6-2 – to get the Stags back on track after falling behind to the host Spartans, 3-1. Sarah Liu and Katrina Plumtree would go on to win their singles matches in the top two flights to complete the comeback win.
 
The Stags are slated to take to the WAC Outdoor Courts for the first time this season on Saturday, March 16 for a noon visit from LIU.
