FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield University Volleyball kicks off the final month of the regular season with a weekend road swing to Merrimack and Quinnipiac on Nov. 2-3. First serves for both Saturday's clash with the Warriors and the Sunday showdown with the Bobcats are set for 1 p.m.

Fairfield University Stags (14-10, 12-0 MAAC)
Fairfield completed the season sweep of Sacred Heart with a 3-1 victory on Wednesday at the Pitt Center to move to 12-0 in conference play.
Mamie Krubally put down 16 kills on .583 hitting against the Pioneers and is now a league-best .378 in MAAC play.
As a team, the Stags are hitting a MAAC-leading .294 in conference action.
Fairfield enters the weekend with 19 consecutive wins over MAAC opponents, the eighth-longest streak in the nation against conference foes. Western Kentucky tops that list with 92 straight Conference USA wins. The Hilltoppers have not lost a CUSA regular season or postseason match since 2018.

Merrimack College Warriors (6-17, 5-7 MAAC)
Merrimack has lost its last three matches since running off four consecutive wins to insert itself into the MAAC postseason picture.
The Warriors are led by 2.89 kills and 3.24 points per set from Julz Carlat.
In the middle, Morgan Thurlow puts down 1.24 kills per frame on .332 hitting and has 67 blocks in 83 sets of action.
Merrimack is vying to qualify for a postseason tournament for the first time since joining the Division I ranks in 2019.

Fairfield's 3-0 win on Oct. 6 at Mahoney Arena was the first meeting in the series.

Quinnipiac University Bobcats (13-11, 10-2 MAAC)
Quinnipiac has run off eight straight wins since losing to Fairfield on Oct. 5, vaulting into sole possession of second place in the MAAC at 10-2.
In MAAC play, the Bobcats boast three hitters among the top six in kills per set, led by Elena Giacomini's 3.78 per frame. In the overall stats, Giacomini is second the conference with 3.64 finishers per set.
Damla Gunes leads the conference with 9.23 assists per set, guiding QU to a .180 hitting percentage.

Including the Stags' October sweep, Fairfield holds a 25-4 lead the all-time series.
The Stags and Bobcats have met in the last two MAAC Championship Finals and four of the last eight (2016, 2019, 2022, 2023).
QU won the most recent meeting in Hamden as a part of last fall's regular season split.

MAAC Standings Update
At 12-0 Fairfield enters the weekend with a two-match lead over Quinnipiac (10-2) and a three-match cushion over Rider. The Stags hold a home win over both of those squads with a return match still on the slate.
With two wins this weekend, Fairfield would lock up a top-four seed and a bye to the quarterfinals of the MAAC Championship. The top-two seeds in the bracket will earn an additional bye to the semifinal round.
