HAMDEN, Conn.-Number two seed Anna Neyestani posted a pair of wins on Saturday to advance to Sunday's women's singles final at inaugural Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Masters Tournament being hosted by Quinnipiac University.

The 2024 MAAC Masters Tournament is a singles and doubles single-elimination tournament for both men's and women's squads.

Neyestani opened play on Saturday with an impressive, 6-2, 6-0, triumph over number eight seed Caitlin Flower of Quinnipiac, and she advanced to Sunday's final with an equally impressive 6-3, 6-1, victory over number three seed Laia Giralt of Siena.

Anna will face number seven seed Caterina Assi of Marist in Sunday morning's final.  First serve is set for 9:00 a.m. in Hamden.

In doubles action on Saturday, the Stags had two teams in action, as Maeve Cassidy and Nicolette Loeffler went 1-1 earning a win over the Siena team of Mullaney/Omar, 6-4, in the Round of 16, before falling in the quarterfinals, 3-6, to the Marist duo of Zureick and Lorentzon.

Fairfield's Sarah Liu and Maria Gell fell in their Round of 16 match on Saturday, as they were defeated by the team of Melo/Kotok from Niagara, 4-6, in a tight contest.
