EDISON, N.J. – After winning the individual ECAC Championship this past weekend for Fairfield University Women's Cross Country,
Hannah Snayd has been named the MAAC Women's Runner of the Week. Snayd is now a three-time recipient of the award in her rookie season with the Stags.
On Friday at Van Cortlandt Park, Snayd ran a personal-best 6K time of 20:41.9 to win the ECAC crown. She finished nearly nine seconds ahead of the field of 251 runners. Snayd also broke the tape at the Marist Season Opener on Aug. 31 in addition to a second-place outing at the CCSU Ted Owen Invitational and a fifth-place performance at the Jasper XC Invite.
Fairfield Women's Cross Country returns to action this Friday, October 25 at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain. The jaunt around Stanley Quarter Park is the Stags' final competition prior to the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship Meet on Nov. 2.
