MONTGOMERY, N.Y. – Fairfield University Men's Cross Country was back in action Saturday morning, as they competed in the Jasper Fall XC Invite at Twin Ponds on The Farm hosted by Manhattan College. Freshman
Chase Orciuch crossed the line first for the Stags, finishing the 8K course in 27:19.2.
Orciuch came in 85th place out of almost 200 runners. Right behind him, first-year Stag

Alex Petersen finished in 88th and 90th place, respectively.
Olli Muniz would finish in 99th place with a time of 27:49.0.
Jack Putnam completed the 8k course in 27:59.8, finishing in 104th place.
As a team, the Stags placed 10th out of 20 participating teams. Conference opponent Rider finished first with five of their runners placing in the top 20, highlighted by Tamrat Snyder crossing the line second overall. The individual pacesetter was Tom Appenheimer from Canisius, who completed the 8K in 24:33.6.
Today's course will be home of the 2023 MAAC Championship on Oct. 28.
The Stags are back in action in two weeks on Saturday, Sept. 30, as they head to the campus of Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run.
