FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Colin Summers turned in an even-par score of 210 over the first 54 holes of the 2023-24 season, setting the pace for Fairfield University Men's Golf at The Doc Gimmler. Summers finished tied for 22nd in the 87-golfer field on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park.

Summers stayed consistent over his three rounds this weekend, carding a 69-70-71 to amass his 210 score. Summers shared 22nd place on a crowded leaderboard that saw more than 25 percent of the field finish between two-under and two-over par.

Patrick McCarthy and the debuting
Anthony Naples finished in a pack at 217, 218 and 219, respectively. DeVincenzo matched Summers with a 69 (-1) in round two for the lowest round by a Stag this weekend.
Chase Millar shot an even-par 70 on Sunday to round out Fairfield's quintet of scorers, and
Zachary Maloy competed as an individual to begin his fall campaign.

Columbia University ran away with the team competition, winning by 13 strokes over second-place Georgetown. The Lions were led by individual medalist Nathan Han, who carded a 196 (-14) to top his teammate DJ Francey by five shots. Francey had the low round of the weekend with a 62 (-8) in Saturday's second trip through Bethpage Red.

Fairfield placed 13th on the team leaderboard, sixth strokes back of 11th place FDU and Iona. The Stags bested Niagara and Hofstra on the team ledger.

Fairfield Men's Golf continues the fall schedule next weekend at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate on Sept. 16-17 at Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Berlin.
